Leo Gmelch

Leo has worked as executive musical producer and instrumentalist at the Bavarian State Theatre, and at the Munich Kammerspiele, Volkstheater and Schauburg Theatres.
He is a member of the "Al Porcino Big Band”, "Harald Rueschenbaum Big Band”, the "Sunday Night Orchestra”, and Gunther Klatt's "Elephant Trombones”. He has toured and recorded with German artists Konstantin Wecker, Udo Lindenberg and Hans Soellner as well as appearing at jazz festivals in Berlin, Leverkusen, Quebec, Glasgow, Burghausen and Wiesen. Leo is co-founder of the Leo Gmelch "Art Ensemble of Passau” and the experimental free jazz concert series GmElch Test.
